The preparation process is the most crucial step in any flooring project, and at High Level Epoxy, we take it very seriously. Our team uses state-of-the-art diamond grinders and a self-contained vacuum system to create an unbreakable mechanical bond to the substrate. First, our crew unloads the equipment and carefully examines the concrete density to select the most suitable diamond blades for grinding your floor.
Next, we thoroughly grind the entire floor surface, profiling the substrate and opening up the concrete material. This step is vital for ensuring a strong bond for the coating. We then use a hand grinder to meticulously grind down the edges, making sure that every inch of the floor is fully prepared for the coating.
At High Level Epoxy, we use an epoxy basecoat with a polyaspartic topcoat, ensuring a durable and long-lasting finish. We can even apply our coatings to vertical surfaces such as cinder blocks, wooden baseboards, wooden steps, and foundation walls. With High Level Epoxy, you can be confident that every detail is handled with precision and care, resulting in a flawless floor every time.

Concrete pads often have hairline cracks, which are natural but need to be addressed. At High Level Epoxy, we use a diamond cutting wheel to open these cracks and fill them with a polyurea filler or mortar. This process is efficient, and the filler cures in about 25 minutes.
To achieve a smooth, seamless floor, it’s essential to make all cracks invisible. Floors may also have salt pits or other minor imperfections, which we fill and grind down to ensure a flawless surface.
After completing the grinding process, we thoroughly vacuum the floor to remove all dust and debris, ensuring it’s perfectly clean and ready for coating.

High Level Epoxy utilizes an epoxy basecoat with a polyaspartic topcoat, available in a 1-day or 2-day system, depending on the size of your floor.
With our 1-day system, you can resume normal foot traffic and use the next day, with a weight limit of 250 pounds. For the 2-day system, regular foot traffic and usage can resume on the second day after application. Both systems ensure the floor is fully cured 48 hours after completion.
We mix the two components by adding pigment to the base coat. The first step is to roll the base coat onto all vertical surfaces to ensure complete coverage.
Before applying the base coat, our team thoroughly vacuums the floor to remove any excess material. We then apply the base coat to the entire floor surface, ensuring a smooth and even finish.

At High Level Epoxy, we specialize in both vinyl flake and metallic coatings for your floors. During the application process, one crew member rolls the coating onto the floor while a second team member broadcasts the vinyl flakes. To ensure complete coverage, we use three times the amount of material during this process.
Once the entire floor is fully coated, it takes about 60 minutes for it to cure. After curing, we remove all the excess flake material to prepare for the next step.
Our crew then scrapes the floor with a flat metal-edge tool to knock down any standing flakes and smooth out the flake base coat. After scraping, we vacuum the floor again to remove all dust and debris, ensuring a clean and flawless surface.
For metallic coatings, the process is similar. We mix metallic pigments with our epoxy basecoat and apply it evenly across the floor. This creates a stunning, shimmering effect that adds a unique and luxurious touch to any space. Whether you choose vinyl flakes or metallic coatings, High Level Epoxy guarantees a beautiful and durable finish.

Following the application of the clear topcoat, our crew proceeds to apply it using a squeegee, ensuring even distribution and thickness throughout the surface. To further guarantee a durable and consistent finish, the topcoat is back-rolled.
Here are the topcoat requirements:
Light foot traffic is permissible after 12 hours of curing.
Daily usage can resume after 24 hours.
Contents can be returned to the garage after 48 hours.
Regular vehicle traffic usage is safe after 96 hours.
Please note that curing times may vary due to weather and environmental factors, but rest assured, our team at High Level Epoxy can provide guidance tailored to your specific situation.
Once the topcoat is applied and the curing process begins, our crew ensures the site is thoroughly cleaned, leaving your space pristine and ready to enjoy.
